Regardless of the Aspers nationality, they are right wing Americans in thought and deed. My first experience with their brand of bias and incompetence was my subscription to the Ottawa Citizen, a paper riddled with hilarious typos, misspellings (in headlines!) and pathetic attempts at "serious" journalism dictated by the puppetmasters in Winnipeg. I have since boycotted everything Global/Canwest , as well as the Bush, er, Fox Network. I am sure that there are mouth-breathers who still get their opinions from this biased trash but thankfully we are in Canada and Canadians are, as Michael Moore so succinctly put it, "Just like Americans only smarter and better read".
